Day 30, Sunday, June 28, 2026: East Bridge Foundation is done..

The crew had a late start as almost a month’s work caught up to them. Some of us struggled to get out of bed, but we got out in the garden! Y started the day by watering the new plants and the plants in waiting. D and P discussed how to best lift up the area of the ground on the the East side of the stream to support the bridge that is going to get here in two days! Y switched over to straining some more dirt and then spreading it over patch 3 and 4 of the newly laid path the previous day. P worked on the abutment for the bridge foundation on the East side, with D bringing in gravel and other materials.

We paused for Sunday brunch and took some hours off. On our way back, we bought some more support rocks for the abutment from Home Depot. P and D resumed work outside in the late afternoon and proceeded to sketch out how they would place the new terraces. We need more rocks again, said D. Right!

We received yet more updates from K and T, and the bridge looks quite ready! The rest of us need to get the foundations done real soon.

We had a relatively light weekend in terms of work at Bosky Acre, but things are going to pick up pace soon. Stay tuned!
