Day 29, Saturday, June 27, 2026: Marching right on..

The weekend started out cool and slightly cloudy following the showers the prior evening. We saw P out and early continuing his work on the path. P enlisted Y in helping him select and lay out the stones for today’s segment of the path. Meanwhile, since learning from K about the imminent arrival of our bridge next Tuesday, D has begun his mission to create a solid base for the bridge. He commenced working on the top area that would branch off the top of the path. We continued with this throughout the day. Placing the rocks was slow going for Y with each rock taking some 15-20 minutes to balance. At the end of the day, it started raining again. We left P pondering on a solution to scale the rock placement process around 7 pm, right around when dinner was served.

Hmm, this is hard to level across the stream. What’s the best way to do it on this slope? Photo credit: YS

We also received a wonderful update from K and T who were adding finishing touches to the bridge.
