Day 38, Monday, July 6, 2026: Bridge Landing in progress..
Monday was a shorter day for the crew. In the morning shift, P worked on extending the path up to the bridge landing using a different process than the previous one by one stone placement. Here, D and P poured sand over a stretch of the path and placed rocks over them. P balanced them one at a time, but this was significantly faster than putting in sand underneath one stone at a time. We were glad to see that the stairway was complete! Y watered the plants and then worked on pouring some dirt in between the cracks of the newly laid bridge steps. P2 worked on laying out the stepping blocks by the South West gate entrance to the path. This was the end of the morning shift.

In the evening, D, Y and P were back outside again. P worked on laying out the stones by the bridge landing. D tried to install irrigation for the new plants. Y poured dirt on the new patch of the path and swept it. Y also watered the new plants again since they were thirsty, and went back in early to catch up on the past couple days of blog posts. D worked on supporting the side of the path with some dirt to provide it more support. We needed to speed up the next few days as we will soon be at half the capacity on our crew. P took the sun reading for various spots in the garden throughout the day and we will use those to plant most of our trees tomorrow.
